Hi! I am getting a new computer with Vista and need to know if I can save my current incomplete downloads when I install Limewire on the new computer. If so, can you please tell me how to get them to show up on Limewire when I reinstall to the new one. I can't remember the user id LW gave me when I installed it on my current computer so how can I find my user id they gave me. I hope there is a way to save them. I appreciate your help. Oh I need to know how to save them in LW before I get the new comp. if they can be transfered when I go to install on the new one.

This is my 1st post,so I hope this helps.I'm unsure about Vista,but I know when I had to wipe my hard drive in XP Pro,I backed up whatever I could including my Incomplete's from LW.When I reinstalled XP after a full wipe,I reinstalled LW,searched for the incomplete folder,copy/pasted my backup to that folder.I then restarted LW,went to Library/Incomplete files.I then highlighted them all(hold left mouse and scroll),and clicked resume,and they picked up where they left off once it found the correct hosts.I've actually done this a few times with no probs.I don't see why Vista would be any different.Hope this helps!

Yes the important thing is you keep the incomplete folder & all items inside. Also, important is after installing LW on the new computer, you close it before replacing the new incomplete folder with the older backed up one. That is very important you don't swap them over whilst LW is open else it will corrupt the download preferences. Sounds like Bowtie41 has the process down tat.
