Default invisible download that i can't get rid of

for some reason, my limewire allways has 1 download going at 0KB/s. sometimes when i restart it, it comes up with some thing i tried to download a long time ago that says it's 100% downloaded but has a disk error or something. i say to cancel the download, but it just makes the thing dissappear, and the thing at the bottom still says that there is 1 thing downloading. it's really annoying, cause i choose to have a max download limit of 3, and i can only do 2 because this thing won't go away! please help.

Try checking your incomplete folder in your limewire library and delete it from there...

If that doesn't work, click on one of your incomplete files and select explore, this will open up your incomplete folder outside of limewire, see if it's there and delete it...

Also maybe run an AV and spyware scan, just to be safe...

Another forum member advised to try this....

I get the impression it's some type of fake. Get them to try turning hidden files & folders on & see if it's visible then.

If he has no incompletes. I'd suggest deleting the incomplete folder whilst LW is closed. I think LW recreates it when it is next opened. Else he could create another folder of same name.

Oh keep in mind also ... that if a file is attempting to download (in connecting status), then it still shows up as a download at the bottom of LW. I wonder if he was confused by that. And if no other downloads it will show 1 download at 0 KB/s. I've come across really annoying file that is a fake to-boot! LW normally gives up on attempting to connect fakes after a while. But not this one. It never left connecting status after however many hours.
