incoming searches

[soooo confused]

I am fairly new to limewire and a complete idiot when it comes to computers but here goes. I am using lime wire pro with my home computer, windows xp. I downloaded some video files over the weekend with no problems. Tonight I tried to search and the results came up with over 20 host but never got over 3kb for the download speed. While trying to find the problem, I checked the "show incoming searches" box and it was scrolling through incoming searches faster than I could read them, I'm guessing that where my problem is. My stepdaughter was on some other share sites over the weekend and I don't know if she clicked something she shouldn't have or not. How do I stop the hundreds of incoming searches coming through my computer. HEEEEELP!
