![]() here's how downloading works...you send a signal saying you want the file, the host sends you a piece of the file and awaits a return signal saying you got that piece (packet) before it sends the next packet...if your upstream bandwidth is being maxed out then the sending of the acknowledgment that you got the part of the file is delayed, which can massively slow your download speeds...you should be able to go into LW's settings and limit your upstream bandwidth which should allow some headroom so that your downloads aren't crippled

![]() Thank you Peerless, actually I have restricted the uploads to 10 max (and there is about 10 waiting) and they don't have a huge download spead, whereas this uploader seems to appear out of nowhere, and downloads one of my files in about 30 seconds where the others are waiting for ages, is that normal? |

![]() Thanks, that sounds like it! What I've done is taken their host number, and put it on the filter list to be banned. Hopefully it's only one user, but I will follow your advice if it happens again. Thanks again for your help. |
