BearShare Lite killing LW uploads Hope this forum correct rather than 'Open'. Nutshell; in a period of two hours last Saturday evening, one BearShare Lite IP address managed to upload 17songs at 100% from me, while 54 LWire upload attempts only managed ONEsuccessful upload at 100%. Am usually set at 3 and never more than 8 uploads per person - What Is Going On? How did BearShare Lite **.***.***.** using Ver. 5.0.0.4 get 17 complete songs while 54 justifiably irritated LimeWire uploaders only got ONE complete song in those two hours. To make it worse, most of the LW uploaders reached 70-96% before it suddenly cut them off with 'complete'. Have recently noticed that there are very few (about one in 20) BearShare uploaders compared to LimeWire, but they have a much higher 100% complete success rate. In the following 90 minutes (after the two hours above), 47 upload attempts were made, nearly all LW. LWire successfully uploaded 3 songs, with a few BearShare getting 2. There is something VERY WRONG about this picture, but I haven't a clue why...does anybody?
This is likely unrelated, but my ISP has recently changed its Traffic Shaping. Before, it restricted my UPloads to a measly max of 4KiloBYTES per sec, while my DOWNloads were fine. Now, I usually get close to max UPload, but DOWNloads are stopped and started on a regular timed basis. Some answers or good guesses PLEASE, before thousands of LW users stick me on their banned list.
Thanks in advance, caseybob
