Problem being, type in anything into the search option, and click search, the screen changes, but nothing happens, it goes a blank white and when it normally would show the title (in the little box with x on it) you have searched for, and nothing shows .. Any reasons for this? Ive uninstalled Limewire and installed it (this had been done a number of times) and the same thing happens

Tried that and the same thing happens, anything you type into the search option box, even for i.e wgwrg nothing happens it just seems to freeze on a blank white screen

Try these fixes from Birdy.

Are you connected properly (how many green connection bars do you see)?
If your connection is ok, try this: Problems with the search

And if that's no help, delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).

This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things.
