![]() Thanks to birdy i have just learn't that there are dedicated IP's hosting fake files. Has anyone made a list of these IP's so they can be added to the "Hosts" filter?? my understanding of the hosts filter is that it wont show search results from any IP's added to it...? Thanks again (i hope this is the right place to ask this question) |

![]() I would take Wondering Why's advice Here. Try installing PeerGuardian, it will help keep the fake hosts out...Remember to enable PG just before you start limewire up...Phoenix Labs » PeerGuardian 2 Another thing if you are using limewire 4.13 and later you can apply this hostile list... The TechNutopia Fullsize Hostiles List for BearShare and LimeWire Hope This Helps. ![]() |

![]() Thanks Remoc ![]() I've Have installed the hostile list. Its defiantly cut down a lot of junk from my search resaults. with PeerGuardian the website says the download is meant to be .83MB but the filesize turned out to be .025MB. I thought this was a bit strange to i decided to delete it, but it wouldn't let me delete it even tho i hadn't even tryed to run the program!!! i restarted the computer and went to delete it but it was gone ![]() i have done a scan with MS OneCare, Spybot search and destroy 1.4 and Ad-aware SE 1.6 all have come up clean but the computer is running strange. It froze a little while ago and i had to hold the power button down to restart it ![]() running xp pro |

![]() Go to options to allow show all hidden files & folders & see if it's still there. If yes, I'm not sure but you could perhaps try some of these Incomplete Download File won't delete at all (click on link). The question is what has it done, has it multiplied or added itself onto other programs, blocked the av's view of it, etc. |
