problems getting songs to itunes

hi we have just got a new computer so had to download itunes & limewire again... we had no problems before getting the songs from limewire to itunes, we had quite a collection, but this time the songs on limewire seem to stay on the limewire library & we cannot work out how to get them downloaded to itunes... please please help us we need to get our music collection back again... can anyone suggest anything for us please please please

I am having the same problem. When I downloaded the new Itunes, I could no longer move my songs in my Limewire library to my Ipod. I can see and hear my music in the Limewire Library, however it is not on my Ipod. Please help.

Thanks Birdy, but for some reason none of the tricks on your link seem to work for me. I have tried them all and still no limewire songs transferred to my itune library. can you help?

Hi chichon,

Have you been able to find LW's saved folder without a problem? In LW tools > options > saving will show you the location. Or, if you go to LW's library, highlight one of your songs & click Explore...your saved folder will open. Make sure you're adding to iTunes from this folder!

Some people have trouble dragging & dropping. So, in iTunes, click on file > add file to library. Now browse for LW's saved folder & see whether you can add files to iTunes from there

Thanks for your help, it was useful. I found LW's saved folder and tried to add to iTunes from this source. Sometimes it works, but for some unknown reason there are some songs for which nothing seems to be working. Would you have any other tip that may help?
