Post Was downloading at 150 kb/s....now 3 kb/s !

A couple of months ago i was downloading at 150+ kb/s with limewire pro....but now i struggle to get above 10 ! Can anyone help ?

2. What firewalls you have? McAfee
3. How much ram? 512mb
4. Hard Disk space available? 10 GB
5. Connection type? Wireless Broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Netgear
7. Where are you trying to connect from? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW 4.9 Pro and Java 1.6
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? AOL
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? YOUR TEST WORKED
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? Another laptop
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. First Time
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Just the world
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? 1st one
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? McAfee
16. What country are you living in? UK

this has all been the same, its just in the last couple of weeks my download speed has rapidly decreased!

There are rumblings on the Internet as to whether AOL has introduced "Bandwidth Shaping", i.e. severely resticting P2P traffic while letting browser generated traffic through untouched.

Probably you should first check this out?

It does sound like it would be AOL, as there is firewall or anything else in the details that indicate a problem...
