Question lost my "easy set-up"

Ok..here's the deal. I've been trying to figure this out myself for the last 5 hours and have yet to come up with a solution. I left my computer unsupervised, unfortunately! Before, I was able to listen to music on limewire before it was finished downloaded, which was cool because I didn't have to have another window pop up in order to hear a little bit of a song. Then, as soon as it was downloaded, the song went directly into windows media player. I never had to go through different screens and files in order to transfer one song to WMP. Now, I'm trying to figure out how to get things back to the way that they were. Now, my music is going into my music folder and it never did that before. I now have a migraine trying to figure out how I set this up a year ago. What I want is basic and I had it at just that...BASIC. I would download music overnight, wake up the next morning, pull up WMP, and all my music would be in there automatically. It has to be something simple because I had already figured it out once...a year ago. But for the life of me I just can't figure it out now. Could somebody PLEASE help me! I'm dying here!

Did you have WMP set up to monitor your shared folder, when files were going into it automatically? Have a look at Dano's guide below, it tells you how to monitor your folders.
