Hello guys, i recently downloaded some movies off Limewire in (AVI) format, upon playing them, i realised that there is no sound at all, the picture is perfect but why am i not getting any sound??

I also noticed, that the movie files also say (Ac3)

I am using windows media player 8, what do i need to do, in order to play Ac3 movies in windows media player 8????

I keep hearing things about about Ac3 codecs, can someone plz give me futher details on Ac3 codecs/filter & how does one use them...

Appreciate any advice, thanx!

Google Klite codec pac...that's what I use and it seems to play just about everything I throw at it...

do i need to download the (AC3 filter) ???

will this work with, windows media player 8? and what is the installation process?

hey thanx peerless, i downloaded the ac3 filter last night, and that did the trick, can watch ac3 videos now! cheers mate!
