Unhappy "Needs more sources"... "Tried 25 sources"

I can't download anything. LimeWire connects to my computer just fine, and searches, but will not connect to the files. It says "connecting" for a long time, and, even for files for over 100 sources, will say "25 sources tried" or however many, then "Waiting for sources", and finally stays at "Awaiting Sources".

Please help!

Thanks,
AimeeXi

If you usually download new and/or popular files which are in the charts then I've noticed that most of the downloads come up with 'Need more sources'. Just be patient if so and afte a week or so you should be fine.

If files sit connecting for ages & then get stuck needing sources forever, you're probably seeing fake files.

If you're searching for music files, use the All Types search & search for artist or album rather than song title. Go for a file with 10 sources or less...stay away from the files with huge numbers of sources.
If you're searching for video files, always chech the file with Bitzi before download. If a file has heaps of sources but no Bitzi rating, chances are it's a fake.

Check out the threads below for more info & tips, including how to use Bitzi.

Thanks, that must be what it is because I have been using LimeWire and it seems to be working normally.
