![]() hey guys, ive been using limewire for a long time and just today ive got a problem ive never had before.im using a few months old version of limewire pro (4.13 something) and today i kept getting those error messages where it gives you the option to review it or discard it...since limewire was still working fine i just clicked discard. they kept popping until i eventually thought "screw this" and decided to exit and re-open...but when i re-opened it said "limewire was unable to reload your old downloads" or something like that...now with just under 2000 files of music (alot of hard to find music too) i was naturally a little annoyed.since the computer has been on all day i thought a restart might fix it...but it didnt. opened limewire again to find a blank download list. all the files are still in the incomplete folder...but wont load back into limewire. i tried installing an older (non-pro) version too and that didnt work. i reinstalled the pro version i was using...that didnt work. i downloaded the latest (non pro) version and that didnt work either.so does anyone know how i can get all my downloads back into limewire? i really hate the idea of having to find all my music again. its strange thought coz about a year ago i decided to format my computer to clean it up a bit and i thought "great im gonna have to search for everything again" but after i set up the computer the way i wanted and installed limewire again...all my old downloads were there still...i was like WTF. so i dont understand why its doing it.also... if it makes any difference...im on 56k dial-up and im using windows XP SP2 with all the latest updates. my computer is virtually virus, spyware, adware etc free coz i use AVG, spybot and ad-aware and i rarely have any problems. i dont have have other dodgy toolbars in my explorer or anything. i keep my computer very organised so this is really quite strange and annoying.so can anyone help me out? ive looked around the forums but mostly found topics about accidental deletion and stuff like that. this is nothing like it...i didnt delete anything...just closed limewire after discarding a bunch of error messages, and after re-opening it wouldnt load my old downloads.help...anyone? id really appreciate it coz i love my music and if i have to search for all of it again im not gonna be a very happy camper. about a quarter of the files were close to 100% completion as well. |

![]() AD, I have the same problem. I have the newer verson, and I downloaded some Christmas movies. about 4 of them, and poof! they can not be found. What happened to them who knows. But funny thing is, I went to re-download them, and Lime wire said I already had them downloaded. My hubby even asked, "Didn't you find them?" I am stunned. I am surprised as you. Someone out there knows something. This has baffled me too! What's going on here? Where are my movies? I can not download the same movies cause it says I have them! A glitch that no one knows about! |

![]() Rem, Thanks again for your help! I went into explore, and did not find the movies.. It took me to where I am downloading them too. Which I looked before..if I can figure out the firewall thing, I am sure I can figure this one out too! lol |

![]() If you can not re-load your incomplete downloads, it is because they were cancelled or because the incomplete folder had been deleted or emptied or it has been moved. I didn't delete anything is a natural excuse for why they are gone. They were deleted, that simple. As far as where are they (downloads) going. Look at the new folder you accidently made in limewires root folder. if that is not the case they are going to the new folder you made somewhere. if they are not there(in your computer) you don't have them. If you wait days and weeks for a download to continue, most often it NEVER will. Just take the time to download a better version or file. I have been using peer to peer for years, since before the internet. when my files are gone, I did it! if the program is failing, it is usually a wrong link ie I set my download options to a wrong place. The best alternative is to clean up the incomplete, clean up all references o limewire or program, reinstall it with the newest version and start over. Why waste time fixing something I broke. clean up, reinstall and watch where I save and what the error messages tell me I am about to do wrong. |

![]() I have the same problem. My downloads are still in my download folder and my downloads.dat and downloads.bak files are intact but Limewire has 'forgotten' my downloads. I am a multi year subscriber to Lime Wire Pro. What do we need to do to get this problem fixed? |

![]() I found a solution: Go to your library and click the icon for incomplete files then click the resume button. That worked for me on my Mac Limewire Pro client. Now, if Limewire will fix the problem that causes this headache, I'll be happy. |

i was kind of enjoying having a smaller download list in limewire...easier to keep track of...but oh well...problem solved. |

![]() I tried all the suggestons here too. Limewire reloaded all the incomplete downloads that it had not been able to find - but there is stil a BIG PROBLEM. All the incomplete downloads come in at 0% - and many of them had been at 70%+ when this problem occurred. How do i get Limewire to restore the files to where they were before? Many of these files had been downloading the last time i quit out of the program - and now, none of them download. This is the third time this has happened to me and i can't find a way around it. |
