![]() I've had Limewire for 3 years. I used to allow 20 upload slots & my upload bandwidth usage would go up to 3 to 5 hundred Kbs/s. A few weeks ago while on Limewire, I noticed that over half of uploads said "transfer interrupted" I knew something was wrong because in 3 years I'd never seen that on more than 10% of uploads. I checked my Upload Bandwidth settings, it was still at unlimited. I checked my internet speed, it was the same 750kbs/s. I ran every diagnostic test I have on my computer. I checked and double checked all my settings and my computer.......nothing. I re-downloaded Limewire...still nothing. I had to reduce my slots to 3 because my total upload bandwidth will only reach as high as 20kbs/s total now. If 1 slot is in use they can use up to 20 kbs/s or less. If 2 slots are being used they split the 20kbs/s, and so on, but it won't go above 20kbs/s total. What ever the problem is, it hasn't effected my download speed. I can still run it up to 4 or 5 hundred kbs/s, with enough downloads going at the same time. I'm totally confussed & frustrated ![]() |

![]() Roadrunner..and they came out today.(yesterday now) The guy said nothing was wrong with my connection. He tested it at my computer and at the pole. That was my last attempt to find out if it was something on my end. That's why I'm posting this...I'm out of options. |

![]() Roadrunner might be limiting your uploads. The link below suggests that roadrunner are packet shaping for high bandwidth users (eg p2p). [TWC] TW Officially Announces Packet Shaping for All RR Users - dslreports.com Wiki: Road Runner (ISP) The same kind of thing has happened to other users (of other ISPs) in the past eg: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...o-uploads.html You could try changing ports. In LW tools > options > advanced > firewall config > change LW's listening port to 65000 (or something in the range of 49152 - 65535) > apply > ok. Otherwise, give us your system details. System details - help us to help you -> Provide these details when you post!!!(click on link) |
