Question Refuses to Connect

Here's my problem. I get cut off from my provider a lot and when I reconnect LimeWire doesn't always reconnect with it. I've tried using the Connect feature but it never does anything. My modem says it's not sending or receiving information.

The only way I can get it to reconnect is to totally quit LimeWire and reopen it. And in the process everything I try to download gets sent to the incomplete folder.

Can someone tell me how to either stay connected, get reconnected or at least somehow retrieve my work from the incomplete folder and start again.

I'm about to pull my hair out. Imagine having a 56K modem that can only run at 16K and losing everything.

Thanks
