limewire will not show search results
 

i have a real problem.
i've been using limewire for probably over a little bit of a year and it's worked fine but for the last month or so, something hasn't been right.
when i type in a search, i get no results AT ALL! the search bar finishes loading and leaves me with nothing every time. this has never happened before, and i have no idea what is wrong or how to fix it! please help me.

Is your LW properly connected (all green/blue connection bars)?? If LW's connected, try the fixes below.

1. In LW go tools > options > searching > basic & check whether the 'show license warning' box is ticked. If it does, untick it > Apply > ok...see if that makes any difference.

3. Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will change all of your settings within LW's options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things to the way you like them.
If you're using Vista: LimeWire Pref Folder in Vista

If LW's not connected, try the fixes in the post below. If nothing there helps, post back with your system details;)

512 mb ram
I can not see search results. I have given firewall permission please help

I'm new to this forum and I need lots of help. My daughter down loaded and installed Limewire. We are unable to receive search results. I think we are connect but I am not sure. We have completly deactivated ALL security software and made sure the port is opened. The Limewire icon spins but we get no results.
I guess I dont really know if its a connection issue or a download issue at this point.

my limewire still does not work...i have windows vista and same thing happens the bars load but nothing shows...it was working fine...what should i do?

I'm trying to download music.. & theres nothing showing up when I search.. It says it loaded but nothing is showing?!?! whats wrong?!?!
