i downloaded the new version of limewire and i cant find my music files from my other one. is there a way i can get them back?

Are you using Vista?? If you are, check out these threads about files not showing.

If you're using LW 4.16 with XP, have a look for your recently downloaded files in C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Limewire Saved ...are the new downloads there? Or look in C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Shared.
Or use your computer's search to look for some of the file names...do they show up anywhere?

idk. my limewire didnt do the system set up so it didnt scan my harddrive for my files. iz there any way i can make it do that

iz there any way i can get it to open up so i can make it work and get my files back?

Did you try to uninstall the older version before upgrading??

no i did not but i did uninstall the newer version and then installed it again and the setup still wont come up so i can have it search my harddrive for files
