Thumbs up Why can't I download a torrent into Azureus? - Torrents using LimeWire - A FIX !

Was wondering if anyone can help me...I've run out of ideas. Today I went to download a torrent from torrentspy.com and it wanted to use limewire to download it (I normally use Azureus which I'm happy with). I have since uninstalled Limewire and it still insists on downloading any torrent I try to as a Limewire torrent.....Any ideas???

Thank you.

All you would have had to do is change the settings in Limewire.
So How did you uninstall Limewire??

if using Windows

Download a torrentfile to your desktop. right-click and choose

"open with"-->Choose program

select Azureus and check the box that says "Always use..." then press OK

I just went to Start, the programs and then uninstall. I basically don't have limewire anymore and it STILL thinks it's a limewire torrent. I'm confused.............

I'm having the same problem. According to Remoc, how would you change the settings in order for it to work?

In Limewire go to Tools > Options > BitTorrent. Now Uncheck box..Start Auto...Click Apply and OK

If you have'nt set up your Default BitTorrent Client, then Follow Sleepless' Instructions
