I don't seem to be able to find a post to fit my situation; forgive me if I've missed one.

I am running Windows XP SP2

I have followed the suggestions I can find in the postings - however no matter what I try I can not get more that 2 (very occasionally 3) downloads to be operative at any one time.

Please can you help.

If you run a basic Lime Wire than 3 downloads are the maximum it can take - if you are using the torrents from the sites like www.thepiratesbay.org. If you search from the within the LimeWire you should be able to download more. Should you use the pro version that you can download 5 torrents a time.
