Yea, the Later Versions of LW are nothing but trouble. If you want to go back to an older version, here are a couple of links.

Old Version of Limewire Download

I think the last Good version was 4.12.6

If you have a Pro Subscription and you don't want to go back to an older version, then you'll have to find a fix here on the Forum for the download problem.
