Help (file corrupt, installation not complete)
 

hi, i'm new to the forum.

i uninstalled limewire 4.16.6 because i was having connection problems for a few days. didnt think to disable the norton antivirus, anyways i uninstalled and tried reinstalling and now i get an error, the file is corrupt and installantion not complete, please download and try installation again. i've rebooted and still the same result. can anyone help?

i just had the same problem as well. i went to my computer/c:/program files/ and then deleted the limewire folder. after that, i was able to reinstall with no problems.

Yes do that delete the folder in your C: driver or what ever drive you are useing than re install.Limewire.If you want another version than the 4.16 here is a site you can get it from.Use the link below.

Dont download any thing past 4.13 they will not work with Lime wire.

thank you -- you guys/gals are soo smart!! but now i have another problem, when i search for new music, the downloads do not appear. i tried a more common artist but it still didnt work. the firewall status is active and read somewhere if i disable the norton antivirus, that might help. i didnt try that though. any help is much appreciated!!
