Missing list of downloads (downloads.dat)
 

As security, everyday I have back-up of 2 initial files required by LW: downloads.dat and downloads.bak

This is the second time that this problem ocurrs. My laptop has Windows XP. I loaded the limewire PRO ( 4.16.6) and received an error message: "Sorry, but Limewire was unable to restart your old downloads".

What can I do to recover all my incomplete downloads in stead of find them again ? and why LW does not recognize these 2 back-up files ?. Thanks in advace for your help.. Salvador

I have a similar problem!

I had to re-install windows, and when installing Limewire, I entered the path where the incomplete downloads are stored (including downloads.dat), and it doesn't recognise my previous downloads. I have many in that folder, and don't want to start them from the beginning again :-(

Please assist?
