![]() Hi....I'm not expert on, well, anything computer related, but, I'm thinking you may have downloaded spyware. I downloaded a song a week or so ago and it looked normal until I tried to play it and it wouldn't play (also noticed it wouldn't preview while downloading---maybe a tipoff that something is amiss?). I tried to delete the file and it would not delete (said it was in use). Tried deleting it thru the Library tab on LimeWire, but, didn't work either. Finally, I scanned the file with AVG and it came up as infected with the following: Downloader.Wimad.N There's a thread about this on the boards... http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...-limewire.html I'm trying to find out if I'm "safe" as far as the infection thru this other thread as I'm not tech savvy. Anyway, scan the file with your antispyware and antivirus to check for anything suspicious. If you finally did delete the file, just scan your computer with both to be safe. Hope this helps ![]() Last edited by SparkyChick; June 1st, 2008 at 10:57 PM. Reason: Correct the information given in the post |
