Ok. For all you in here who are sick to death of seeing this type of post, Sorry. I too am having some serious problems with my LW and it is acting rather weird to be quite honest. Version of LW: 4.18.1, Java Version: 1.6.0_06 (the latest version as far as im aware). So, where do I start? Well, Up to now (or at least I thought so) LW been running pretty good. Not bad download speeds, I'd say about 60Kbs average. It connects on startup fine and my searches bring up everything I need to. Now then for the problems. It downloads audio. Doesn't do it as fast as I'd like but I can live with that, they do download everytime without fail and they play. (just a note before you ask me - yes, I do have the latest antivirus installed and running so I can pre - scan the download as incomplete and I ALWAYS use Bitzi to check the file before I download it) As for video media, no chance! Gets up to 12% then thats it! Stopped, frozen, game over whatever you wish to call it. If LW really wants to pull some strings and wind me up it might crop up to 13, 14, 15% at best then drop right back to 12 again. What the hell is going on!!?? No firewall blocking my connections, no virus at work, no rouge program stopping progress, no settings changed or tampered with. Why does it do this and why does it only do it with video?
Surely, surely someone out there has a fix for this problem or at least has some sort of idea what causes this without the same advices about filtering your searches and only downloading legit files. Help me please. Many thanks peeps.
