how to save finish downloaded files ?

Hi ... I have a problem with a douwnloaded video file completed, it does'nt show in saved Folde,r it cannot be open or do anything else, even with raith mouse click. It is my first time may it's a very stupid question, but I did'nt found somewere in the Forum "How to save a finished downlod file " actualy I thought that music files I have dowloaded were saved automaticly, may be becous I played'em first with the limewire progam, but it seem doen't work with video fils, it cannot be open from the download window. Thanks

It will save automatically. While in the LW Library, click on saved files, then Video. The file should show there. Also check your HDD to see if it is there. Again while in the LW Library, click Explore (Lower Left Corner). This will take you to all of the files saved to the HDD.
If your trying to Launch a Video File with the LW Player, it won't happen.
Try using an Alternitive Media Player as the LW Player is Junk. See the Link Below.
VLC Player will play most anything and is recommended here quite frequently on the Forums.

VLC media player - Overview

Also Always use Bitzi when downloading Video Files. Instructions below.

This is how it works. After you have completed your search, Right click on the file that you're interested in. Now go to Advanced > Lookup File With Bitzi. Left click on that and a new browser window will open which is Bitzi. Now you will see how other members have rated this file. If you see something like "Bitprint not found" then Leave it alone. Its probably a Fake or Corrupt File. If it has been Rated then you can read what or how the members feel about the file.
Hope this Helps. :D

Have you checked the HDD to see if they are there.
Have you recently upgraded. The saved file locations have changed in the Later Versions. See Link below.

Birdy explains here.
If you've updated LW and can't find your downloads!

When you select a file to download from the search results, the first thing LW does is download the hash of the file which contains all the metadata about the file, the file size, etc. This file is created in the LW incomplete folder. Then as you start to download the file, the incomplete file is added to bit by bit until it reaches 100%. Once at that stage, LW will compare the file to the hash of the file to make sure it matches. If not, it will try to redownload any missing or corrupted parts. Once the file is complete, LW moves it from the incomplete folder to the Saved Files folder (which is itself only a reference within the LW program), which will be your Shared folder or whatever you called your download folder. Unless you are sharing files in your download folder, they won't show up in the Shared folder (or whatever you named it) in the Library window. So "if" it is 100% downloaded, you should be able to find it in the download folder even if it doesn't show there in the LW Library window.

For fast & easy access, go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & the folder will open up for you.

If it's still in the incomplete folder, and you can use the Explore button to check it, try playing it from there directly from your player. If it appears to be 100% complete, then remove it from that folder, and delete it from the LW download window. Something like that happening is not new. ;)
