I Have A Paid Subscription To Limewire, But Still The Files That I'm Downloading Are Full Of Viruses And/or Spyware. I Think That If Limewire Want To Sell The Paid Version, Then Should Offer Security And Warranty To Their Customers. And Please, Don't Tell Me Now That The Disclaimer Informed That... It Seems To Me That Sometimes The "disclaimer" Covers The Lack Of Respect To A Customer Who Has Trusted In Limewire.... You Are Estimulating The Ilegal Use Of Your Software Because To Receive Viruses And Spyware I Don't Need To Be Legal. Shame On You!!!!!!!!

If Limewire were to screen content, there would be little left to download. It is the peer-to-peer method that keeps LW from being shut down (like Napster). Unfortunately, that method allows bad files to be shared as well. It is for that reason that LW programmers include an easy link to the Bitzi website, and users are strongly encouraged to use it. Using Bitzi will help to save you from downloading infected or mis-named files.

As this is the Gnutella Forum and "staffed" by volunteers who receive nothing from Limewire (or any other P-P program), you are voicing your complaint to the wrong people. Why don't you complain to the people you paid for LW Pro?

If you want to download files that are guaranteed to be safe, you should join Netflix or some other subscription service. With LW Pro, you got what you paid for; faster access to shared files, with absolutely no guarantee as to the quality of what you select to download. If you expected more, then shame on you!

This is the only forum that I have found for LimeWire and still think that this is the right place to post my complaint, because by doing so I'm alerting other people that mistakenly (as in my case) trusted in LW and paid a subscription. To get faster access was only one of the reasons why I did it. In fact, the speed is almost the same as the free version, but I also thought that paid members have secure servers and additional services. But you are totally right... I was wrong by thinking that in exchange for my money I would receive something... Never again I will trust in services like this. And again, if this is the official forum for LW, this is the right place to post complaints like mine...
