Never waste your time using anything related to Limewire when it comes to 'playing' files.

The most simple 'starting' solution for you is to download and install

VLC media player

The so-called 'player' in LW is a joke.

I am sure that you will be very happy with VLC.
It may, at first sight, seem to be a bit clunky and primitive but as you learn more about it you will discover that it is an enormous and very powerful bit of software that will do just about anything you could ever want.

Price is nice, as well..

p.s. When using VLC, be sure to note that by clicking on Settings and then Extended GUI you will have full control over brightness and all of the other 'normal' picture controls !!!
