Downloads need license or codecs
 

Hello, I'm new here. My name is Mimi. My computer, a Dell 2400, with windows xp died. I had Limewire on it and everything was fine. Now I have a Dell Intel Core 2 with Windows Vista. I downloaded Limewire with no problem, but every song or video I try to download a pop-up says, either, no license or no codec. I don't understand this because these are the very same songs and video's I downloaded on my old computer and it was done legally. Does anyone have any suggestion's? I would appreciate any help and thank all who help me.

It sounds like a combination of LW settings & lack of codecs. (new computer remember, new settings & history, codecs needed that were on old computer.)
