I need Help!(New PC and slow download speed)

Hello Everyone, this is the first time i have posted a thread and i need some help.. I have been using Limewire for several years and have never really had any problems untill now.
i have just purchased a new PC (Quad Core 2.4 Q6600 with 4 Mb of Ram) and i am using AOL 2Mb Download Speed. with my previous PC i was downloading at around 120 Kb/s but now i only manage to achieve around 1 to 5 Kb/s this is even when i have up to 10 hosts can any help me improve my download speed.
