Hi Micky. Here is a Beginners Guide for Torrents that is Very Informative and will give you a good idea how Torrents work.

Beginners Guide

To keep LW from initiating the Torrent Download, go to Tools > Options > BitTorrent. UnCheck "Start Automatically" Apply > OK.

Real quick here...uTorrent is a Torrent Client. Demonoid is a Tracker.
You'll perform your Search in Demonoid. When you find a file you want on the tracker, Click D/L this Torrent and uTorrent Should open and start the D/L.
Hope this Helps.

Hi Frannic93 and to the Gnutella Forums.

Try this. This will basically make uTorrent the Default Torrent Client. Hope it works for you. I'm sure there are other ways to do this but this works for me.

If using XP... Start > Control Panel > Tools > Folder Options > File Types.

Now Arrow Down until you see Torrent File. Left click on said File Type to Highlite. Click Change. Now Left Click on uTorrent. Place check...Always use the selected program to Open..... then Click OK.

HaHa, Sorry you're stuck with Vista.

After a quick search I found this link that may be of some help.

Control Panel - Programs

As you know I don't use Vista but the above link looks like it may be where the File Types and Default Program Settings may hide.
Hope this Helps.
