This is P2P, where people have to be careful, in case you forgot that. And no I haven't checked anything myself. And I say again provide proof instead of propaganda. I don't have to prove a thing here, you have to prove this as this is your claim. Any crap AntiVirus screenshots are not proof. Show us incriminating data in packets you intercept and that is proof. |

All this back and forth sounds like one side is a flame. I'll give you three guesses which one Oh and one last thing Angmar. Be sure to use some popular easy to find file for your tests, and include all relevant info like IP address sent to, to size of package, exactly what incriminating data, hash values of the file. The works. And of course Vuze version, port numbers and anything else you can think of to let others be able to duplicate the results. Time online, how long the torrent was loaded in your client. How often this phenomena occurs etc. etc. Last edited by Sleepless; October 25th, 2008 at 04:50 PM. |

For years I was asking people if they knew anyone who bought antiviral software that reported an uninfected computer. I never got a "yes" response. After the birth of antiviral software companies, (but prior to the internet), the largest freeware/shareware distributor in the US offered a reward to anyone who would send them a virus on disk. They had no takers. I met people who insisted that their computers had been infected because their antiviral software told them it was. Some of those people did not have a modem, and loaded only commercial applications; ergo there was no vector (route for infection). Nowadays the internet provides a vector and there have been a few epidemics. So I was thinking about writing an antifungal program. Because if you've had a viral infection, surely your computer is less resistant to fungus. And of course my software will verify that data fungus was present and has been safely removed. I wouldn't tell people that software was suspicious just because an antiviral told me so. We've seen too many false positives, leading me to ask for specifics. When it comes to open software, show me the code! |

unless you are on a dupe account with Angmar as your other identity, that post was not directed at you. You have already had your question answered over and over even after making a dupe thread asking the exact same question. Finally yes it will. If you find the same torrent now and start downloading it, you will see of there are any seeders (People who have the complete torrent). Also uTorrent should have the option of seeing availability, in case there are no seeders. i.e. if it says 0.94 or 94%, then you know exactly why you are not getting the final 6% of the torrent. Also if you see there are seeders, but you never connect to them, it probably means that you aren't on a open connection (either through portforwarding or UPnP), and also that they aren't either. Pretty much they only reason why you will never connect to a seeder is if both you and the seeder aren't connectable (open connection) i.e. the tracker can see the seeder, but your client can't contact it. |
