upload okay, download stuck on "NEED MORE SOURCES Greetings- This is my 1st post...I'll find the intro page shortly & searched & couldn't find a similar problem: A couple days ago I wasn't able to download-only uploading worked. I uninstalled Limewire & it started working again. Wife turned computer off & on again & it's stuck on "need more sources". I looked under help & FAQ, checked my firewall, checked my Antispamware, even turned off "pop up blocker. I have Windows XP & am using an AT&T Yahoo Browser which has worked fine. We did recently have a few viruses attached to our Antispyware & their Tech Support had me download Avast! to remove them, did it, uninstalled Avast, and now Limewire's messing up. I don't know if the 2 have anything to do w/ each other. Please help! Has something changed recently on LimeWire? |
Check bottom of this post: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/gettin...-limewire.html It's not unusual that on some days incomplete files are difficult to connect to. This could be for many reasons. The Gnutella 'swarming' works in strange methods some days & some days focus seems elsewhere. lol AFAIK .. swarming is the grouping of file requests & grouping of file upload candidates. eg: some days I mostly get video uploads, some mostly audio uploads, some days a particular artist. I often upload faster than I download, which doesn't bother me because I tend to search the 'rarer' files anyway which are harder to find & obtain. |
