Default resuming files

Hi guys,

I am having a big problem here with my downloads. I never happened before but recently, my files will not resume from where they let off. For example, before, when I used to go to my 'library' section with all my incomplete downloads, I was able to resume them from where they left off, no matter which day i resumed them (i set my options to keep my incomplete files up to 30 days). Also, the name of the file/files would be in black. However, when I do the same thing now, the file doesn't resume and I have to download the file from scratch again.
Also, the incomplete files are written in red, when they used to be in black. I don't have any issues when I resume them whilst the Limewire is still connected (even if I cancel the download and disconnect the internet connection), its only when I completely exit the program that I cannot resume from where I left off. I never had this problem before as I used to download files, cancel them, and resume them on another day when I had the time. Any help would be appreciated. I am using version 4.18.8 Java 1.6.0_07

I have had the same problem since updating to the previous version a couple of months ago.

I am now running 4.18.8 and no improvement.

Incomplete files show in RED and progress is 0% on all files.

It seems that I am wasting my time and download allowance on a lot of downloads as anything not completed just sits there and will not resume.

It is the same on both my computers(Vista home premium). This comp is a dual core quad with all the latest java freshly installed.

I never had this issue before, even with this version. It's only recently when I tried resuming some files, it said 'waiting for sources' and it starts counting down 300 seconds which eventually leads to 'need more sources'. When I search for the file, there are plenty of users with the file but it still doesn't resume, whereas before, as soon as I searched for the file and there was a user available, my files would resume within seconds, or even if I didn't search for the file and I clicked on 'resume', my files would start downloading from where they left off. As I said, the incomplete files would be written in black, but now they're in red. I have no idea what is going on. I assume the red writing means the file is inactive or complete because when a file is complete, it goes red in the 'saved files' library.

This is driving me CRAZY.

I just tried to resume a music video which was about 80% complete when download stopped 2 weeks ago.

It is in uncompleted,in red,showing 0%complete.

File would not resume downloading.

I did a "what's new" search and found the same file.I clicked on download and got a message saying I was already downloading this file.(after it had got to "need more sources" and I had "cleared inactive".
I deleted the incomplete, hit download again on the file I had just found and it downloaded at 180kb and completed.

Any file that does not complete downloading on 1st attempt it seems I need to delete because it will NOT resume.

This is wasting a lot of my usage quota.

Bumping it up.

100 hits and not a reply.

Surely someone can throw some light on this problem.

Please keep replies simple.I am not real computer savvy and technical stuff goes over my head.
