![]() Hi everyone, This is my first time on this forum, so please be patient with me ![]() Limewire 4.18.8 and iTunes 8 on OSX 10.4.11. I have used Limewire for more than 5 years now and have never had a problem with it. I always download the updates as they come along. Recently, more specifically a month ago, I downloaded some songs as usual and then, when they are fully downloaded ("Completed") I double-clicked them in order to play them and they just wouldn't play. About half the songs play and the other half don't. Things I have tried: 1. I have tried to drag the songs that don't play from the Limewire Saved folder into the iTunes folder and that trick only worked once, out of 10 trials. 2. I have tried to drag the songs directly from the Limewire program into the iTunes "Music Library" in the iTunes program and they just don't move to iTunes. 3. I tried to send one of these files to my cellphone via Bluetooth and my phone says the file is corrupted. Is there a way to NOT download corrupted files. Is the cellphone just crazy or is the file really corrupt? It seems to be a problem either with the files downloaded or that iTunes is not accepting Limewire songs (only half the time). Can anyone shed any light into this issue? Thanks! Karina |

![]() Thank you, Blackhorse 70V. I have read the instructions of Lord of the Rings and unfortunately I had tried those already. As I said, I have been using Limewire for many years now. I believe there is something wrong with the songs that are being downloaded... I have dragged the files over to iTunes and they just aren't taken up by iTunes. And it's not ALL files. It's only half of the files. For example, I have about 10 songs in my Limewire Saved folder. I drag one of the songs to the iTunes Music Library and it works. The file is taken in by iTunes and I can play it with no problem. The other file, I try to drag over and it is not acknowledged by iTunes. It doesn't appear in iTunes and there is no error message. That is what I find confusing. Has anyone had problems with corrupted files from the internet downloaded by Limewire? Thanks! Karina |
