2 Things Need Help For(No uploads-& Utrapeers)
 

Well been offline for few years, so once again trying and using Limewire and do notice in monitor that I don't have noticing any uploads from anyone of the library I have.. how can I set or have anyone get what I would share? :blink: I've done all I could, my memory from time ago, not what it use to be for the program. :bangh:

Second question is how to get to ultrapeer status? Running hi-speed 2mbps which is what I can afford right now.. Thanks..I await answers.

Are you Fully Connected to the Network ?? Is there a Wall in front of the Blue Globe ?? If so you may be Firewalled which means no one can connect to you to upload.

To have a chance of becoming an UP, make sure you you have the Box Unchecked "Disable Ultrapeer Capabilities".
To find this, Go to Tools > Options > Advanced > Performance.

Even if you have taken the ^^ Steps, the Network will only utilize your UP connection if it needs more UP's. It isn't a guarantee that you will be an UP all or even some of the time.

Well yeah, there lies the problem.. is the blue globe with the firewall in front.. so what might I do to asure ppl can get access to, rather then view maybe library but not have anything? I'm routed also.. anyway if memory serves me right seems something in windows did to share along the uploading way back when....though of set up could be wrong.
So could it be just be the firewall and or something else too? Otherwise the program works one way from where I sit.

Disregard last message.. the check box thing with disable ultrapeer uncheck seemed to be it.. though had it unchecked.. before... then checked it then got it unchecked again..Go figure.. plus network share from windows... anyway.. thanks for the help.

You say it works, meaning you can Download but Not Share. This Realy Defeats what Peer 2 Peer is all about.
I know your Not a Leecher from your First Post, so lets try to fix the problem.

Well the uploads have taken place .. although not a whole lot... I know I do turn net off.. for landlord notes to reserve energy... and for not always home..for have to work.. Anyway.. thanks to the forum for the upload help..
The Ultrapeer thing... still a leaf.. how again does one add or should just on a whim add connections...and where will one see the added in LW the connections one made..? Should the check of blacklist be checked? Certainly don't want unwanted anything virus wise or otherwise to this comp..

You can only become an UltraPeer if there is an open port for Limewire in your firewall i.e. no wall in front of blue Earth.

Followed through with the ways to more connections.. in LW 4.18.8 and Java upgrade to 1.6.0_10 and yet the firewall still in front of blue globe.. cause gave Trend Micro the rules as designated and still won't give more connections.. also got Phex and seems complex though need to know what to try and do.. to reach any ultrapeer to connect status for me.. and get better results then what the Leaf results get me.. Surely gotten some results with the Leaf for some things.. but... the firewall may be so messing things up... Hang up with page and stuff when it runs in scanning behind the scenes .
Also in direct the connection I have to Phex with direct internet of IP as maybe supposed for LW..
Time ago in another time with Norton and Zone Alarm had not as many problems.. I also to watch and clean up with comp.. with defrag and disk clean up.. to be sure enough have the space for as files..
