Thanks for the reply.

In fact the email I sent was directly to LW tech support. Still no reply. This was not via my normal email but by writing on an email request form, presumably from LW. I have no trace of it at present. Your reply is much appreciated.

I downloaded LW yesterday, about 24 hrs ago. Payment receipt was issued by ClickBank.com, order no TECF3TST. Another email concerned action to access Gnutella Forums. I also had an email giving access to the member area with a numeric user name and password. These took me to the site where my troubles began.

I bought lifetime unlimited access for product ID 16 and paid $49.90 and understood it included support.

Limewire has no lifetime unlimited access. You have been scammed and should dispute the charges made on your credit card.

Default Fake site

Thanks very much, Sleepless. I had no idea it was a fake site. I've spoken to my bank and I've requested a refund from ClickBank.com. My own bank suggested I replace my credit card as the data I passed over the net may well have fallen into the wrong hands.

I'll now try to download again from the offical site. Thing is, I always use what I think ARE official sites when I download anything!

Yes.
More detailed question = more detailed answer.

Also, be advised that this is not a chat room. Post your specific questions and someone will probably answer in due time. If you look through the threads, you will likely find the information you need without having to wait.

Hey, thanks allot everyone! I had the same problem with CA anti virus, though I dont understand why my anti virus would effect what file extension the website is providing for me. IT WORKED!

I now now have LimeWire Pro working on my new computer!

Thanks Again!
