OKAY,
so ive have used limewire for a long time
now...however,lately i have been running into
some problems,
LIKE THIS:

WHICH DO I PICK?

ive redownloaded limewire it several times.
and this never ever came before. HELP!


ALSO THIS:

EVEN IF I DO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS
IT STILL DOESNT WORK.

The first window sounds like Torrents, if you use a different Torrent program then you may have some torrent files partially downloaded with LW, but your newer torrent program has made itself the default program to download/share torrent files. So that's up to you. Remember you can Right-click a torrent file & choose open with such & such program, and have option to choose Always open this type of file with that program. In your case you may not wish to choose always open 'all such files' with, depends on your preference.


The second window is a problem. I'd suggest deleting your LW preferences folder, then reinstalling LW using the OFFLINE installer.

1. Delete your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) OR if using VISTA see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html

2. Uninstall LW using the Start menu -> All Programs -> LW -> Uninstall.

3. Run either or both of these utilities to clean up registry: Crap Cleaner or / & Microsoft Windows Install Clean Up

4. Reinstall LW using this OFFLINE installer: http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe
