Down load problem (search shows files with checkmark icon) Hi I have not been using Lime Wire very long I have windows xp and I am connected by DSL to the net. I hope I am in the right spot and some one can answer my question. When I first got Lime Wire and I ran a search I could find almost any song I searched for but now every time that I run a search I get a check mark in a square under the quality tab. And I looked through the Q &As and it told me that the song was already down loaded and in my cumputer but I never down loaded any of those songs. So I ran a search on my cumputer in every file and folder and hard drive and every where elese I could look and all my searches found no results. I used every word in the title of the song and the name of the artist my search still found nothing. Can any one tell me why I'm getting this check mark in a square on every search I run it's very frusting not to be able to down load the songs that I want. Please let me know what I can do about it if anything. Thanks for your help. |
Guess what? You discovered p2p spam ! ;) For more on file sizes to stay away from & the typical auto-naming tricking process spammers use, see: Virus thread: Typical virus spam file sizes - Make a note of them (click on blue link to see) & check 'all' size examples in both posts to see how they work. ;) :) And yes, some spam 'tricks' LW into thinking the file has already been downloaded. |
