Have you been able to download files in the past without a problem? Which OS are you using? Which version of LW? Which software firewall & which AV/antispyware programs? Where are you connecting from (house, work, student acommodation, appartment complex etc)?

Are you able to preview the files at all, or does the corruption message show very early in the download? What happens if you continue with the download after you get the corrupted file message? Do files seem ok when you play them?

If you go to LW's tools > options > view > popups > tick 'revert to default' > Apply > ok, you'll get a popup about corrupted files but you'll have the choice of downloading the file anyway. Make sure to keep your AV updated & use it to scan downloaded files before you open them

Check out the thread below for some info about what might be causing the problem.
what does it mean if the file is corrupted?

Also, try another search for the same files. Find a single modem source & download the file from them. Is that any different?

Don't forget to check files with Bitzi before download.
How to use Bitzi
Even though audio files aren't often rated, if the files are crappy then there might be some info about them.
