MP3 Files have no bitrate (and won't play)

This seems to be a recent problem.

When searching for specific titles the results page shows the file but there is no bitrate displayed. The file apparently downloads successfully but will not play in any audio player. If I attempt to use Media Player I get a message that the file type is unknown. Winamp shows a one-second duration file but won't play it either. This is happening frequently.
