Try disabling Ultrapeer abilities. Go to LW's menu bar, Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Performance & you will see the options. In fact you could disable all options on that page.

Are you always seeing a brick wall or only sometimes after LW has been on for a while. It's my guess your router's UPnP is losing communication with LW due to LW being busy for a long time or simply java having memory issues which is common.

After my LW has been on for perhaps 24 hours & it's been very busy over that period, it sometimes starts to show the brick wall. Even though there are people uploading from me. lol I will then usually do a restart, making sure I don't interfere with people's downloading from me, checking my library for uploads to check if they are almost finished or early on in downloading a file(s) from me, etc.

If it's on all the time then that's bad news. See suggestions here If LW Will Not Connect (click on the blue link) & also if those don't fix, then see link at end about supplying details, we cannot help without them.

I can tell you from experience on these forums & personal experience that Belkin routers are not 100% reliable in UPnP mode. Although mine connects fine, after running for a day or so, I get firewall issue showing.
For others, the best answer has generally been to port forward the device. This is always more reliable than UPnP in any case because it's a predefined router setting after you have made the setting so is not affected by LW being busy.

If you would like direct instructions on how to do this, find the exact model number of the belkin & post back here. Are you using windows 2000, XP or Vista? This also makes a difference for the next step.
