fire walls Ok ive use this program for a long time and i have a firewall problem . Ive turned off my windows firewall and the firewall in my router . But limewire is still saying that i got a firewall up . I can download just fine . Im trying to make it so that i can DL movies to my wifes and kids computers from my computer . Is there a fix to this ? Mulisha |

no man it on all the time . but the funny thing is my kids comp . dose not have 1 up . and i was looking at the seting on his and they are the same . lol . ok i turned off all on the page that you said to and i still have the firewall up do i need to restart . the program ? If it's on all the time then that's bad news. See suggestions here If LW Will Not Connect (click on the blue link) & also if those don't fix, then see link at end about supplying details, we cannot help without them. |

I can tell you from experience on these forums & personal experience that Belkin routers are not 100% reliable in UPnP mode. Although mine connects fine, after running for a day or so, I get firewall issue showing. For others, the best answer has generally been to port forward the device. This is always more reliable than UPnP in any case because it's a predefined router setting after you have made the setting so is not affected by LW being busy. If you would like direct instructions on how to do this, find the exact model number of the belkin & post back here. Are you using windows 2000, XP or Vista? This also makes a difference for the next step. |
