Limited to 5 Simultaneous Downloads Hello everyone, Title says it all ; I'm having a problem with LimeWire PRO 4.18.8 Every time I get over 5 simultaneous downloads, the 6th one goes to 'Queued' I have 'Tools - Options - Downloads' set to 8 Maximum Downloads, but somehow it's always stuck at 5... I tried everything ; restarting, setting it higher than 8, still the same thing... Is this happening to anyone else? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated Thank you! |
same here same problem here. where are u located. i'm in costa rica- would that be a contributing factor? |
no such problem for me. Queued = your LW is too busy to handle the download. For whatever reason that might be, ... too many connections happening (too many incomplete files), not enough bandwidth left over. Your ultrapeers struggling with the message traffic. Could be for a number of reasons. |

I highly doubt your location has anything to do with it To fix this problem here's what I did: - Use LimeWirePro only for Music search/downloads - Use another BitTorrent Client for all my Torrents (with uTorrent I'm able to download up to 15 files at the same time, and for some reason, I'm getting way better transfer speeds than LW) Some claim it's a limitation set by Windows Vista Home Edition but this problem doesn't apply in uTorrent, oh well. By the way, my Internet is cable, 10mb/s Up and Down, so Limewire has no reason to limit my simultaneous downloads to 5... |
great suggestions thanks for the great suggestions. i'll give it a try |
