Multiple Hosts
 

I am downloading a file and the status under Search indicates it's coming from multiple hosts. When I look in Library/Incomplete and check the file size, it say about half of the file has downloaded. Howver, the progress under Search says only a small percentage of the file has downloaded. What is the difference between the two? Thanks, jgh

This is because the download is split between the two hosts you're downloading from: You're downloading the first half from one host and the second half from the other. So LimeWire starts filling up the file in two places at once. Your incomplete file is really mostly empty, being filled from the start by one host and from the end by the other.
