won't finish download (limewire 5)

hi, I have windows vista and never had a problen with 4 and just bought pro 5, at first there was no connection so i updated java, which seemed to fix that problem ,but now the downloads just say, finishing download and nothing happens, also I'm use to the old limewire and findinding 5 hard to navigare. please help if someone knows what is wrong.
