Please Help! (it starts downloading really quickly and then just stops)
 

Morning,

I'm having difficulty using the limewire 5.

It's allowing me to be fully connected and it's also picking up people with the file I want, however, it starts downloading really quickly and then just stop's!

Plese can anyone help, if you need more info then please let me know.

Stops? Sure it's not fully downloaded? You can always search results again or right-click the search tab & choose Get More Results. :)

Do you have downloads set to clear or not clear? Have you viewed your download window to check the status?

Just downloaded a load of music just to try it and it downloads music brill.

I got a movie file from the piratebay.org and it's definitely not finished.

It just hit's a brick wall, I've read the post's about firewall's etc and ive allowed it through.

Do you think the problem is because I've got it from a third party site and not limewire.

If this is the case do you know of any movie bit torrent sites that are.

I cannot suggest torrent sites because it would sort of go against our forum rules. However, I suggest you google such. There's plenty out there. There's also private ones however most private torrent sites do not allow LimeWire. Decent Torrent programs are Bittorrent & Azureus (Vuse).

The greater download % you get with torrents the slower they tend to get since they rely upon partial file sharing. Thus you are downloading the file at same time as others & they are uploading what they are downloading. So depends on when the people with the entire file are online. Patience is best. ;)
