Go to Tools -> Options -> Player & make sure use LW Media Player option is checked. If you are using LW 5, I'm not sure where the option is for windows. Birdy might be able to help there.

If you're using LW 5 go tools > options > My Library. Tick the box to use LW's player > ok.

You might also have to stop WMP associating with certain file types. In WMP go tools > options > file types. Untick the file types that you don't want WMP to play > apply > ok.

Ok, I think I understand now. In your first post, it sounded to me like you wanted downloaded music torrents to open with LW's player... now I think you want torrents to download in LW. Is that right? Is WMP showing as the program that will download torrents??

If that's what's happening - in LW go tools > options > advanced > file association. Associate LW with torrents > apply > ok.
Also check out 6_pac's advice here... it's referring to how to stop LW handling torrents but the same advice can work to make LW handle torrents.

Just FYI, LW isn't the best app to handle torrents (it's bad). Most people here use a proper torrent client like Azureus (Vuze) or uTorrent. Check out the clicky links at the bottom of Sleepless's post here if you want to try one of those
