Default Incomplete files in LimeWire 5.1.2?

Where are they? When I search my computer, I have a folder in my documents with incomplete downloads - but I can't find a way to see them or get them back in Limewire to complete the downloads. Any advice?

The incomplete folder still 'follows' the saved folder, like it did in LW 4.

So for eg if your saved folder was C:\My Documents\LimeWire\Saved then your incomplete folder would be at C:\My Documents\LimeWire\Incomplete.

LW 5 should automatically try to resume incompletes, including incompletes from LW 4. But there's no 'resume' button like there was in LW 4.

But if you cancel a download in LW 5, the file's completely removed from your computer & there's no way to continue that download. In that case, you'd need to start a new search & download from scratch.

Do you see any files in the download tray at all? If you're not seeing the download tray go View > show download tray.

I too have the same problem, when I cancel a download it was removed from the incomplete folder. LW 4 never use to do this.

What worries me is that there ia a load of mistitled junk on the network and when I preveiw a file and see that I REALLY do not want it on my computer I would like to zap via my file shreader from the recycle bin. I assume LW 5 uses windows deletion to remove it from the Incomplete folder?

Does this then means it is still on the hard drive and be restored by a File restore program and I can zap it properly then?

Would be easier if LW left it in the incomplete folder as it did in LW 4!

Just a thought, I upgraded to LW5 from 4 because when I cancelled a download in 4 it removed it from the download tray but continued to download it while it was in the incomplete folder! Would the change in the way LW5 handles cancelled downloads have affected LW4 in this manner?

Thanks

LW 4 always retained an incomplete file when you cancelled a download. However LW 5 works differently, it deletes the incomplete file.

OK thanks Lord of the Rings.

Although I knew the file was kept in LW4 but I was experiencing a glitch that it would still continue to download after I had cancelled it and LW had removed it from the download tray.

I think I may be going back to LW4 I prefer to delete the files I don't want myself.

Thanks for taking time to respond, much appreciated!

Only time i've heard of that happening is if it was a particular spam file. Unless you were resuming files from the incomplete folder of course. Yes it could have been something to do with LW 5's change of the preferences.
