confussed

when I was downloading limewire I payed for the limewire lifetime sub.

I payed with credit card and then proceeded to download limewire.
Half way through the download my screen when down and now I have no lifetime sub and had to buy again this time I was only allowed 6 months of service.who can tell me what happened?
