Default max downloads 3?

Hello, i've been using lw for quite some time now. All of a sudden it won't download more then 3 downloads at a time. When one is finished the next in line starts downloading. In the options menu max downloads is set at 8.

Whats changed, in the past ther where a lot more downloads running at the same time?

Tips anyone?

(i searched the forum but the same topics did not get answerd...)

Thanks!

My guess is you are downloading from the same person, their upload slots are limited or mostly full. So can only download one/two at a time. That type of behaviour certainly suggests that's what's happening. On other days when downloading other material you may find it behaves differently.

The only other thought is your download bandwidth was mostly used up.

In any case try this, select the one that's waiting & press the try again or pause it & use that function.

Angry Max downloads capped at 10, cannot set to higher.

Originally when I installed Limewire PRO I was able to download as many files at the same time as I wanted. I (for reasons I no longer comprehend) adjusted the max setting to 10 to throttle how many people I downloaded off of to have higher speeds on specific downloads.

Now it won't let me adjust to above 10 consecutive downloads at any given time. I try to adjust the setting, but it always resets back to 10. I even uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck - still throttled at 10.

Had anyone else had this issue? Has anyone found a fix for it? It really is no fun to setup downloads and not be able to leave the comp for fear of ending up on 10 people with horrid connections...

Cheers!

Yes. LW 5 limits download slots to a maximum of 10. If you had a setting higher than 10 with LW 4 before updating to LW 5 then it retained the maximum. Unfortunately you have changed it so you cannot change back. Not unless you went back to LW 4.
